| Lightning Protection Installation Apprentice |

This position is an entry level into apprenticeship training to become a lightning protection field installation technician with the largest lightning protection contractor in the United States. Training will include; developing knowledge of the nationally recognized standards governing the lightning protection industry, basic training in reading blue prints and installation drawings and hands on installation training in the field. This apprenticeship program is designed to allow you to develop the skills and knowledge for a stable career in a construction related field.
Requirements:
You must feel comfortable working on ladders, lifts, high rise and pitched roofs to qualify for this position. We have mandatory safety requirements for our installation processes. Perfoms all tasks with minimal supervision, mows and trims facility grounds, trims facility shrubbery and weed-eats facility grounds. Cleans facility grounds by running a blower, Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs with supervisor. Confers with management to resolve maintenance problems and recommends measures to improve operations for upkeep of grounds. Waters gravel and sprays with weed control.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a HS diploma or GED, 1-2 years of related maintenance experience or training, toleration of extreme weather conditions. Responsible for: machinery in area, keeping kan-ban bins full, dates of production orders, flagging broken tools, cleanliness and organization of area, inspection of goods. Position wil also be responsible for spacing stop gauge along calibrated scale according to length specified, placing single/multiple layers of material in bed of machine, activating lever type blade to cut material, tend machine that trims excess material, stacks material on table or in hand truck.
Requirements:
